Okay, So here I am posting to wish that you all had a fantastic holiday season.
Us, meaning the hubby, kids and I had a nice quiet holiday at home. With the hubby on leave and the kids on christmas break I had absolutely no time at all for myself = no Simming or updating here.
The kids are back at school and the hubby is using up some leave time and we are now painting the house with a 23 foot vaulted ceiling I tell you it has not been an easy task.
I have sneaked away from painting and keeping house just barely to play some and write an update which is still in MS Word.
I am soooo itching to get an update posted here about Domino’s Legacy so I am am hoping RL lets up some so I can post. At the moment I’m getting ready to take my 13yr old son to the orthpedics to see if his broken arm has healed enough… yup I’ve been busy with RL gotta go
I’m so sorry to all who have been stopping by and not seeing any new updates on my Moonlight Legacy family.
Just know that I am now back to playing my Moonlights and hope to have an update here within the next few days or so. I just don’t want to update hastily and I really want to follow up with a ’story’ worthy of an update.
I’m also contemplating on changing the blog’s name from Moonlight’s Legacy to one that will cover other Sim families I do plan to play in the future. With the new Nightlife EP I may end up playing different types of challenges that spark my interest.
Name options would be appreciated if you have any to share; for the moment I’m playing with ‘ Moonlight’s Ridge ” or something with my name to differentiate this blog from others.
Ruby is getting ready to graduate and move back into the main lot to carry on for her father as heir while Helena’s heir is still trying to settle in after moving back from college.
Willow’s Line is already at g. 7 and getting ready to merge soon with the main Moonlight characters.
I just got back this morning from being out of state , My father passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2005 at 12:40 in the afternoon. He took a nap after having his coffee and never woke up. For those that remember he had cancer (started in the prostate, then went into his bones and lastly ended up in his lungs…it just devoured him) and was in a wonderful hospice to relieve the pain that cancer gave him.
Myself, husband and kids drove non stop for 9 hours and got there that evening.
I had to make arrangements for my dad’s funeral, burial , pick a casket , well the whole works as my mom was in no condition to do so. Thankfully my dad was well organized knowing we would need the important paperwork to get his burial and all that it involves done. Everything was laid out from his Army discharge during WWII to the plot and insurance paperwork , it was so easy to find everything just waiting for me.
It was so hard to see him at the wake and even harder when they closed his casket and lowered him into the ground yesterday morning.I don’t even remember being led back into the limo as I just broke down, thankfully my husband was at my side and my kids had their adult cousins and their father’s family to attend to them.
As it is I will start my nightly vigil of lighting a candle with his photo on my alter to pray for him tonight. Please include him in your prayers and pray that my mom gets the strength and support she needs to go forward. They were married for over 45 years.
Thanks to all who in the past kept him and my family in your thoughts, if you can please say a prayer or invocation to him and us as we all are seriously missing him and know that he is no longer suffering and is with God.
Thanks
Recently got back from being out of state to visit with my dad once again, if you all recall he has terminal cancer and is now in a wonderful, caring hospice.
Just wanted to let y’all know that I’m working on an update continuing the Moonlight saga, it’s been on hold due to real life emergencies here but thanks to my Simmies I can try to relieve the stress I’ve been dealing with the past month and Pepper is back home with us were she belongs.
When I went to the vet yesterday and they gave her to me in the urn I once again broke down and started to cry…didn’t think I would but I did…that’s life eh?
Today I had to say good bye to my beloved female miniature schnauzer Pepper my puppy for 12 years. She was my shadow, every where I turned there she was. She was the most sweetest dog ever. I will miss her so very much. Now she is free from pain and no longer sick, she is free to run and play like the puppy she was to me.
She looks a bit scruffy in this photo and that was due to letting her grow her coat for the winter , she was a very beautiful baby when daddy groomed her up, but to mommy she will and was always beautiful.
Mama,I can’t believe your gone. I miss and love you and one day I know we’ll meet again at the Rainbow bridge.

Due to a family emergency , I will not be playing or posting about the Moonlight’s for at least until the end of the month. (more…)
Welcome to Moonlight’s Legacy’s new home
Well for those of you who have noticed I am now redirecting the Moonlight’s stories to this new blog from Blogger.
It looks a bit different but (more…)
